Festa della Sensa 2026

The ancestral link between Venezia and the sea.
Festa della Sensa’s origins came about at the conclusion of a Venice peace treaty that ended the centuries-old dispute between the Papacy and the Empire.
Initially it involved a simple ceremony with the Doge of Venice visiting the sea and blessing the waters of the Adriatic. Then later, the marriage to the sea was added, showing Venice’s domination over the waters was shown by throwing a golden ring into the sea.
There’s a rowing parade composed of traditional rowing boats, with a lead boat with the mayor and other city dignitaries.

Vogalonga 2026

8,000 ROWERS
Every year, rowers from all over the world gather in Venice to take on the historic Vogalonga route. Men and women, young and old, share moments of joy, effort, and deep emotion.
2,000 BOATS
The event is open to all types of rowing boats, with no restrictions on weight, size, or number of rowers. The Vogalonga is a tribute to historic navigation techniques, created to promote sustainable boats and protect Venice from wave damage.
A 30-kilometre route through the lagoon, its tiny islands, and the magnificent Grand Canal
Viewing points: Basin of San Marco, the canals of Murano, and the Rio di Cannaregio, culminating with the arrival along the Grand Canal, from Rialto to Punta della Salute.
Venice Boat Show
Sunday May 27th-31st 2026
The Venice Boat Show returns from Wednesday, May 27th to Sunday, May 31st, 2026.
270 exhibitors and 300 boats are expected.
Along the quays of the Arsenale, 15 world premieres are scheduled to be on display. The stylistic and functional fusion between the motor and sailing segments is showcased, alongside catamarans that embody new conceptual evolutions in onboard liveability.

Venice Access Fee 2026
Venice Entrance Fee
The Venice access fee is 5€ daily in advance if you buy it at least 4 days before you come to Venice.
Otherwise it’s 10€. There are no reductions.
You can pay the fee on the Venice website (link below) and save the QR code to show that it has been paid.
You do not need to pay the fee if you’re staying in Venice but will need to go to the page linked to show your exception from it.
