Ristorante Local delivers wonderful classic dishes along with a 7 or 9 course tasting menu. It’s not cheap but well worth the experience. Restaurant Al Covo is also Michelin listed and has a following for its great dishes. The restaurant is also part of the Italian Slow Food movement as is Restaurant Covino which offers a fixed 3 course menu of either meat, fish or vegetarian.

Castello Bars

La Barrique Wine Bar in Via Garibaldi – extensive wine list and great cicchetti, the Hotel Danieli’s Dandolo Bar is a pricey but great experience (and also offers afternoon tea), Bacaro all’Imbuto for cichetti and an authentic Venetian experience or Bar Al Calice.
