About
Once owned by Antonio Grimani who became a Doge of Venice in 1521 and subsequently passed on to grandsons Vettore Grimani and Giovanni Grimani in the 16th Century, Palazzo Grimani is a Renaissance Venetian Palazzo that brought together artists and sculptures of the era to produce the amazing glimpse of life for the rich and famous in those times.
Notably, this palace is of the Tuscan and Roman tradition and differs from the typical Venetian Palazzo of the time.
There’s a lot to see here including the rooms and places: Courtyard, Monumental staircase, Camaron d’Oro, Foliage room, Tribuna, Neoclassical room,
Dining room, Room of the Doge Antonio, vestibule and chapel, Chamber of Callisto, Chamber of Psyche and Room of the fireplace.
