The Giardini Reale, also known as the Royal or Palace Garden, with benches to sit on and shade, mark a welcome break from sightseeing and a place to rest your feet.

History
The gardens were created by order of Napoleon Bonaparte to create a garden for the Palace with access to the water, the gardens included a Coffee House, a beautiful pergola and a drawbridge to connect it with the Procuratie.
The restoration of the gardens was undertaken by the Venice Gardens Foundation and have undergone extensive work to bring them back to life.
