With almost perfect guest ratings, the Madama Garden Retreat says it is a “Venetian Maison de Charme that will enchant your senses” and a “hidden refuge”.
With nine bedrooms each named after a flower, this four star hotel has featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Bell’Italia and AD magazine amongst others.

Each suite is a draw of colourful thoughts ordered to get along well with its neighbours.”
It’s an adults only hotel with a lovely garden and is located in Cannaregio.

Violino d’Oro Venezia
*****
Set in an 18th century building just 2 minutes from St Mark’s Square, and overlooking the San Moisè Canal, Hotel Violino d’Oro Venezia (the gold violin) is a luxury five star hotel that looks like the home of an eccentric art collector, albeit one who loves luxury.
The hotel’s restaurant, Il Piccolo, with just nine tables, upholds the hotel’s local-sourcing ethos in dishes featuring vegetables grown on nearby Sant’Erasmo Island and fish from the Venetian Lagoon.
Enjoy iconic cocktails and cicchetti at the hotel’s Il Piccolo Bar for a gondola view aperitivo.
