A typical itinerary involves a tasting tour of some of the city’s eateries. The itinerary below is taken from the  Sunset Walking Tour with Food and Wine Tastings which is very highly rated scoring 4.9 out of 5 (view complete tour description here).

The tour description includes: make your way to some of the tastiest spots that Venice has to offer. Visit independently owned bars and restaurants and sample both traditional and modern Venetian fare.

Taste local flavors while learning about cicchetti (small snacks), wine, and daily life in the city. Try over 15 different varieties of food taken from menus which often change seasonally and place a strong emphasis on local ingredients.

Throughout the tour, immerse yourself in Venetian culture through its gastronomy, history, and architecture as you listen to stories from your expert guide. Sample local staples like creamed cod fish, freshly made pasta, pastries which are fresh out of the oven, local coffee, as well as more modern dishes with local fish (other seasonal alternatives are available upon request).

Reviews say:

Giorgia was an incredible tour guide – there were only two of us on the tour, and she made it feel like we were exploring the city with an old friend. The locations, food, and drinks were outstanding

This was a fantastic tour of the city with some delcious food, great wine, and more importantly; good advice for how to eat well in Venice. We felt well taken care of by our charismatic and funny host

A very popular activity and understandable so. The description says: Experience Italian Opera in one of the most important Venetian-Gothic style palaces in Venice. Guests move through 3 different rooms within the Palazzo, one for each act of the show. The whole setting changes, not just the background.

The actors tonight were lively, energetic, focused and funny, you can tell they love their craft and we did too! The musicians were also stars of the show and playing for 2 hours without a single flaw… just can’t explain the feeling of seeing this live, up close and personal. What a great experience 10/10 you will not go wrong just book yourselves one of these shows and enjoy!!! We really loved it
