Situated on the banks of the Grand Canal near Ca’ Pesaro, San Stae is an impressive site as you travel down the Grand Canal.
San Stae, an abbreviation for Saint Eustachius, was founded at the beginning of the 11th century and reconstructed in the 17th century.
San Stae is a richly decorated Baroque church with artwork by Niccolò Bambini, Giuseppe Camerata, Antonio Balestra, Giuseppe Torretto, Pietro Baratta, Francesco Migliori, and Jacopo Amigoni amongst others.
